“Mothers”

Dear Lord,

How these words resonate with me about my mother. My mother, that soul that has permeated my family’s hearts all these years. Her guidance, love and perseverance she bestowed on her family was due to her love and devotion to you Lord. Everything she did, she always attributed it to you. Her blessing to all of us each day was that it's all in God’s hands. She knew well that each waking moment was all planned by you Lord. Those words of advice, that cautionary stance, the repetitive narrative that at times I did not appreciate, was my mother heeding your plan for her children. Her beloved spouse, who she so lovingly devoted over 70 years of her life was the daily example of the Proverbs 31 woman.

She possessed wisdom, was faithful and always sought your guidance Lord. During her trials and tribulations in her life, she dedicated herself to prayer and obedience. As her heart broke with the passing of her true love, my father, her comfort was knowing he is in your loving arms. As her tears flow daily, you Lord remind her of eternal love and life. Lord, thank you for giving me the gift of my mother. That unconditional love is one that I will cherish forever. As the phone rings today, with my mom on the other line, let me show gratitude and praise you Lord for my mother, the Proverbs 31 woman, your faithful servant and daughter. With much praise and jubilation, May God be the Glory.

“Madres”

Querido señor,

Cómo resuenan en mí estas palabras sobre mi madre. Mi madre, esa alma que ha calado en el corazón de mi familia todos estos años. Su guía, amor y perseverancia que otorgó a su familia se debió a su amor y devoción a ti, Señor. Todo lo que hacía, siempre te lo atribuía a ti. Su bendición para todos nosotros cada día fue que todo está en las manos de Dios. Ella sabía bien que cada momento de vigilia fue planeado por ti, Señor. Esas palabras de consejo, esa postura de advertencia, la narración repetitiva que a veces no aprecié, era mi madre prestando atención a su plan para sus hijos. Su amado esposo, a quien con tanto amor dedicó más de 70 años de su vida, fue el ejemplo diario de la mujer de Proverbios 31.

Ella poseía sabiduría, era fiel y siempre buscó tu guía Señor. Durante las pruebas y tribulaciones de su vida, se dedicó a la oración y la obediencia. A medida que su corazón se rompió con la muerte de su verdadero amor, mi padre, su consuelo fue saber que él está en tus brazos amorosos. A medida que sus lágrimas fluyen a diario, tú, Señor, le recuerdas el amor y la vida eternos. Señor, gracias por darme el regalo de mi madre. Ese amor incondicional es uno que atesoraré por siempre. Mientras suena el teléfono hoy, con mi mamá al otro lado de la línea, permíteme mostrarte gratitud y alabarte Señor por mi madre, la mujer de Proverbios 31, tu fiel sierva e hija. Con mucha alabanza y júbilo, Que Dios sea la Gloria.

“One Generation”

God, we thank you for the mothers of the world, not only because of their devotion, their love, and their protection, but for their impact. From the time we are born, our mothers are one of our most influential leaders. They are our first teachers, our first preachers, our first prayer warriors. And no matter how old we get, how far from Your light we may stray, God, but for the fact that our mothers will never give up.

They never stop praying for us or fighting for us. They pray for our safety more than our own, they pray for our success more than their own. Lord, thank you for our mothers because we might not be where we are in our walk with You without their influence. The generations that follow us will indeed be blessed because of the faith our mothers instilled in us.

And God, thank you for the unconventional mothers who we meet along the way; the aunts, sisters, grandmothers, neighbors, and church mothers that further encourage us and sometimes act as the mothers we may not have had in our childhoods. They are inspiring an entire lineage of worshippers and prayer warriors that will follow your Word and know of your sacrifice. Lord, continue to guide all these mothers; give them strength, give them hope, and give them the will to keep fighting your good fight. Amen!

"Una generación"

Dios, te damos gracias por las madres del mundo, no solo por su devoción, su amor y su protección, sino por su impacto. Desde el momento en que nacemos, nuestras madres son uno de nuestros líderes más influyentes. Son nuestros primeros maestros, nuestros primeros predicadores, nuestros primeros guerreros de oración. Y no importa cuántos años tengamos, qué tan lejos de Tu luz podamos desviarnos, Dios, si no fuera por el hecho de que nuestras madres nunca se darán por vencidas.

Nunca dejan de orar por nosotros o de luchar por nosotros. Rezan por nuestra seguridad más que por la nuestra, rezan por nuestro éxito más que por el suyo propio. Señor, gracias por nuestras madres porque no podríamos estar donde estamos en nuestro caminar contigo sin su influencia. Las generaciones que nos sigan serán ciertamente bendecidas por la fe que nos inculcaron nuestras madres.

Y Dios, gracias por las madres no convencionales que encontramos en el camino; las tías, hermanas, abuelas, vecinas y madres de la iglesia que nos alientan aún más y, a veces, actúan como las madres que quizás no hayamos tenido en nuestra infancia. Están inspirando a todo un linaje de adoradores y guerreros de oración que seguirán tu Palabra y sabrán de tu sacrificio. Señor, sigue guiando a todas estas madres; dales fuerza, dales esperanza, y dales voluntad para seguir peleando tu buena batalla. ¡Amén!
