“One of the hardest parts of facing trials is feeling like we have to handle it all on our own. But Isaiah 41:10 tells us: ‘So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’”

When diagnosed, the illusion of time is lifted. All we have really is today, and every single day I am reminded of that when I open my eyes. Every single day I try my best to make each one extraordinary, whether its mundane or exhilarating, and I try to be the best version of myself I can be.

Through the pain, darkness and paralyzing fear I found light, that beacon came from a village of prayer warriors, family, and friends in the form of love, support & encouragement that has helped me navigate through the darkness and despair.

After my first round of chemotherapy. I developed a headache that didn’t seem to subside and noticed a lump in the side of my neck I reached out to my doctor and was seen at the office a day or two later. I was told immediately to head over to Yale’s Smilow main campus, to have some imaging done.

This is my TESTIMONY!! This the God ! That I serve ! On Monday, January 10 , 2022, Dakota and I headed out for our usual morning routine for before school drop -off then to work, or so that was my plan. While proceeding to turn off my street my car somehow lost control hitting a snow embankment , my steering wheel locked in my car slammed head on into a tree.

The message here for me is the act of faith of the nobleman, he came seeking to take Jesus to his dying son, and believed that by bringing Him to him, he would save his son’s life. The real step of faith displayed is the reaction he had when Jesus said to him, “Go your way; you son lives.” He turned toward home and believed that Jesus by His words had healed his son.

This month marks 5 years since my lung cancer diagnosis. This is my journey I would like to share with you, I sincerely hope that my valley experience will fill you with an unwavering faith in our God.

He requires one thing from the sick and afflicted and that is as in Mark 9:23 “Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” It is easier said than done, that is why testimonies such as mine are so important to give. I have a responsibility to glorify God and let all people know of His goodness and healing power.

I knew that God was using me to teach others the power of faith and prayer. When people ask me why God would allow me to go through cancer three times; I joke that he knew that I would be good at it! I then remind them of the power of our God!

I am brought so often to my mother’s words, “keep God always in your windshield.” A wonderful reminder to always look forward and allow God to guide me.

I then begin to circle my Jericho with praise and worship, and I begin to declare the promises that God has made for my life and I continue to repeat it louder and louder as I go through my valley, “But God Said”

My friends, keep praying, keep trusting and keep believing God. God loves us; He listens to us and answers our prayers. . He knows what we need and when we need it. If you need something, pray. God will supply all of your needs!!!

To God Be the Glory!!!!

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
