Our Blessed Keys book club meets the first Friday of the month. During that time we review a book together at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, in Danbury, CT. We average about 15-20 attendees and have been fellowshipping this way for over 2 years.

As part of our commitment to prayer we will be posting prayers from the book club that meet each 1st Friday of every month.

Heavenly Father,

We thank you for saving us through the sacrifice of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to teach, guide and comfort us.

Thank you, Holy Spirit for empowering us to be witnesses for Jesus Christ and being God’s guarantee for the inheritance He promised. Because of You, this tells us that we have been purchased to be His own people.

Mighty God, we have not recieved a spirit that makes us slaves; instead, we have received Your Spirit when you adopted us as Your children. We confess that the same Holy Spirit who resurrected Jesus from the dead now dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit who gives life to our mortal bodies, just as He gave life to Christ and raised Him from the dead.

You, Holy Spirit are our helper and our comforter. We depend on You to remind us of everything Jesus taught when He lived on the earth. We thank you for being God’s power source, the teacher of all truth.

Thank you, Father God, for loving us and for giving us the wonderful gift of Your Holy Spirit. Amen

Nuestro club de lectura Blessed Keys se reúne el primer viernes del mes. Durante ese tiempo revisamos juntos un libro en la Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, en Danbury, CT. Tenemos un promedio de entre 15 y 20 asistentes y hemos estado confraternizando de esta manera durante más de 2 años.

Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la oración, publicaremos oraciones del club de lectura que se reúne cada primer viernes de cada mes.

Padre celestial,

Te damos gracias por salvarnos mediante el sacrificio de tu Hijo, nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Te damos gracias por enviarnos al Espíritu Santo para enseñarnos, guiarnos y consolarnos.

Gracias Espíritu Santo por capacitarnos para ser testigos de Jesucristo y ser garantía de Dios por la herencia que prometió. Gracias a Ti, esto nos dice que hemos sido comprados para ser Su propio pueblo.

Dios fuerte, no hemos recibido espíritu que nos haga esclavos; en cambio, hemos recibido Tu Espíritu cuando nos adoptaste como Tus hijos. Confesamos que el mismo Espíritu Santo que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos ahora habita en nosotros. Es el Espíritu Santo quien da vida a nuestros cuerpos mortales, así como dio vida a Cristo y lo resucitó de entre los muertos.

Tú, Espíritu Santo, eres nuestro ayudador y nuestro consolador. Dependemos de ti para que nos recuerdes todo lo que Jesús enseñó cuando vivió en la tierra. Te damos gracias por ser la fuente de poder de Dios, el maestro de toda verdad.

Center your spirit and pray for His comfort and Peace to be with you. Ask for His help to find joy and meaning. Embrace His inspiring presence.

Loving Father God,

I come into your throne room with a heavy heart and a spirit that needs to desperately intercede for all those who are suffering today. There are those who will be reading this prayer seeking a sign, something that will comfort and lift their weary hearts.

The darkness laid bare for the world to see, and feel is something that no one can look away from, nor explain away.

Bring us to a point Lord, that we seek first your Kingdom and use that discovery as a guide to make decisions that bless and heal our land. Give wisdom to our leaders that they first look to you for the solutions that will bring healing to our shattered world.

Protect the innocents that are caught in the cross hairs of a situation they did not cause. Give them the strength to push through despite the odds against them. Lord, we need to renew our faith and stand by it, believing that you will intervene and bring peace to our world.

I look to you and I want to obey you Lord and one of the ways is to have faith that you will work all things for our good and for your glory. Be glorified Lord, I believe and have faith to stand in the gap believing for an end to all the death and carnage taking place today. I will not waiver in my faith that you are and have always been in control. Amen

Dios Padre amoroso,

Entro a tu salón del trono con el corazón apesadumbrado y un espíritu que necesita interceder desesperadamente por todos aquellos que están sufriendo hoy. Hay quienes leerán esta oración buscando una señal, algo que consuele y levante sus corazones cansados.

La oscuridad que queda al descubierto para que el mundo la vea y la sienta es algo de lo que nadie puede apartar la mirada ni explicarlo.

Llévanos a un punto Señor, que busquemos primero tu Reino y usemos ese descubrimiento como guía para tomar decisiones que bendigan y sanen nuestra tierra. Da sabiduría a nuestros líderes para que primero busquen en ti las soluciones que traerán sanación a nuestro mundo destrozado.

Proteger a los inocentes que están atrapados en el punto de mira de una situación que ellos no causaron. Dales la fuerza para seguir adelante a pesar de las probabilidades en su contra. Señor, necesitamos renovar nuestra fe y mantenernos firmes en ella, creyendo que tú intervendrás y traerás paz a nuestro mundo.

Miro a ti y quiero obedecerte Señor y una de las maneras es tener fe en que obrarás todas las cosas para nuestro bien y para tu gloria. Sea glorificado Señor, creo y tengo fe para permanecer en la brecha creyendo en el fin de toda la muerte y matanza que está ocurriendo hoy. No renunciaré a mi fe en que tú tienes y siempre has tenido el control. Amén
