Heavenly Father, oh how loving you are to us. How wonderful it is to serve a father in whom we can place our faith, hope and trust. Father some days the storms of life rage and we take our eyes off of you and develop a deep focus and concentration on the problem itself. Lord help us to always focus on you. Help us to remember that trials come and go but that your promises are everlasting. Just because we take our eyes off you during our storms, we have to remember that you dont take your eyes off us. You see us in our storms and you delight in our faith during the storms.

Father I pray that everyone can grow a community of believers so that when there is doubt, the community can pray with us and encourage us to get back on our spiritual track. We want to please you father, but thats impossible without faith. May we read your word regularly, pray continually, and never forsake worship. May we carve out time so that we can devote to you and allow you to pour into us. As you fuel us father, we will be ready to touch the lives of those around us.

In Jesus name, amen.

Padre Celestial, oh cuán amoroso eres con nosotros. Qué maravilloso es servir a un padre en quien podemos depositar nuestra fe, esperanza y confianza. Padre, algunos días las tormentas de la vida rugen y quitamos nuestros ojos de ti y desarrollamos un profundo enfoque y concentración en el problema mismo. Señor, ayúdanos a enfocarnos siempre en ti. Ayúdanos a recordar que las pruebas van y vienen pero que tus promesas son eternas. Solo porque quitamos nuestros ojos de ti durante nuestras tormentas, debemos recordar que tú no quitas tus ojos de nosotros. Nos ves en nuestras tormentas y te deleitas en nuestra fe durante las tormentas.

Padre, oro para que todos puedan hacer crecer una comunidad de creyentes para que cuando haya dudas, la comunidad pueda orar con nosotros y animarnos a volver a nuestro camino espiritual. Queremos complacer a tu padre, pero eso es imposible sin fe. Que podamos leer tu palabra regularmente, orar continuamente y nunca abandonar la adoración. Que podamos sacar tiempo para que podamos dedicarte a ti y permitir que te viertas en nosotros. A medida que nos alimentas, padre, estaremos listos para tocar las vidas de quienes nos rodean.

“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?

17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

18 Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

Father God, I come before your throne tonight with a humble and contrite heart.  I pour out my petitions at your feet.  I come on behalf of all those that are struggling tonight with issues that are weighing them down.  Some are believers, some may be leaders in the faith who have been under attack for some time.  Consider those that are not long in their walk with you who do not have the faith they need yet.

I need you to send your word of encouragement and hope to them, give them an inner burden to trust you even when what they see in the natural does not resemble the outcome of what they have asked for.  Teach us to trust you with the faith that causes you to take notice, to be impressed by our stance.

You say in your word that faith without works is dead, just as works without faith will not, please you.  Teach us to come into alignment with your will so that all that you have promised can be fulfilled.  Lord, please send to us the latter rains, we are in desperate need of a hope that will direct us to the cross, to the sacrifice you so meekly gave to save us from destruction.

I thank you Lord for showing me that I must take up my cross too, I must believe that you are working all things for my good and for your glory (Romans 8:28) there is nothing that you are not able to do.  Instill in me the wisdom to know you in such an intimate manner that I can “be still” in any situation I find myself in.

You are our answer, in your arms we as a people will find the faith, strength and comfort we will need to go on.  Amen

“¿De qué sirve, amados hermanos y hermanas, si decís que tenéis fe y no la demostráis con vuestras obras? ¿Puede ese tipo de fe salvar a alguien? 15 Supongamos que ves a un hermano o una hermana que no tiene comida ni vestido, 16 y le dices: “Adiós y que tengas un buen día; manténgase abrigado y coma bien”, pero entonces no le da a esa persona comida ni ropa. ¿Qué bien hace eso?

17 Así que ya ves, la fe por sí sola no es suficiente. A menos que produzca buenas obras, está muerta e inútil.

Padre Dios, vengo ante tu trono esta noche con un corazón humilde y contrito. Derramo mis peticiones a tus pies. Vengo en nombre de todos aquellos que están luchando esta noche con problemas que los están agobiando. Algunos son creyentes, algunos pueden ser líderes en la fe que han estado bajo ataque durante algún tiempo. Considere a aquellos que no han tardado en caminar con usted y que aún no tienen la fe que necesitan.

Necesito que les envíes tu palabra de aliento y esperanza, dales una carga interior para que confíen en ti aún cuando lo que ven en lo natural no se asemeje al resultado de lo que han pedido. Enséñanos a confiar en ti con la fe que hace que te fijes, que te impresione nuestra postura.

Dices en tu palabra que la fe sin obras es muerta, así como las obras sin fe no te agradarán. Enséñanos a alinearnos con tu voluntad para que todo lo que has prometido se cumpla. Señor, envíanos las lluvias tardías, necesitamos desesperadamente una esperanza que nos dirija a la cruz, al sacrificio que tan dócilmente diste para salvarnos de la destrucción.

Te agradezco Señor por mostrarme que debo tomar mi cruz también, debo creer que todo lo haces para mi bien y para tu gloria (Romanos 8:28) no hay nada que no puedas hacer. Inculca en mí la sabiduría de conocerte de una manera tan íntima que pueda “estar quieto” en cualquier situación en la que me encuentre.

Eres nuestra respuesta, en tus brazos encontraremos como pueblo la fe, la fuerza y el consuelo que necesitaremos para seguir adelante. Amén
