“No, my lord!” Hannah answered. “I am an unhappy woman. I have had neither wine for
liquor; I was only pouring out my heart to the Lord. Do not think your servant a worthless
woman; my prayer has been prompted by mu deep sorrow and misery.” Eli said, “Go in peace,
and may the God of Israel grant what you have requested.”

“Mothers”
Most High, Almighty, Good Lord, I have sorrow and seek your merciful answer to my
prayer for my children. My prayer is not exactly like Hannah’s. But I want to follow her
example.
Hannah persevered in prayer before you. She longed to have a son. Eli accused her, but
was able to acknowledge his error and blessed Hannah. And yes, You gave her a son. And what a
son he was!
I do not agree with all of the choices my children make. I ask for Your help and for Your
mercy. I do know that I have not always made choices You would approve of. You have been
good to me. I continued to pray and You helped set things right. I have learned a lot from You.
Lord, bless me with the kind of faith that Hannah had! Help me to trust You. Take the
events in my children’s lives and use them for their good. You waste nothing. Bring my children
to love and serve You. Let them know Your goodness.
I believe that You hear mothers’ prayers.

“Madres”
Altísimo, Todopoderoso, Buen Señor, tengo dolor y busco tu misericordiosa respuesta a mi oración por mis hijos. Mi oración no es exactamente como la de Hannah. Pero quiero seguir su ejemplo.
Ana perseveró en la oración ante ti. Ella anhelaba tener un hijo. Elí la acusó, pero pudo reconocer su error y bendijo a Ana. Y sí, le diste un hijo. ¡Y qué hijo era!
No estoy de acuerdo con todas las decisiones que toman mis hijos. Te pido tu ayuda y tu misericordia. Sé que no siempre he tomado decisiones que Tú aprobarías. Has sido bueno conmigo. Continué orando y Tú ayudaste a arreglar las cosas. He aprendido mucho de ti.
¡Señor, bendíceme con el tipo de fe que tenía Hannah! Ayúdame a confiar en Ti. Toma los eventos en la vida de mis hijos y utilízalos para su bien. No desperdicias nada. Lleva a mis hijos a amarte y servirte. Hágales saber su bondad. Creo que escuchas las oraciones de las madres.
