Easter/Lent Season Prayer for Resurrection, 03/27/2023
Adaptation of: Fr. Larry Snyder, president of Catholic Charities USA, offered at the fourth annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast on April 8, 2013
Fr. Larry Snyder’s:
“An Easter Prayer” ( (New Adaptation, 03/27/2023) )
Good and gracious God,
Our most glorious Creator,
As we greet the signs in nature around us:
Of Spring once again regaling us in bloom,
In the songs of returning birds and fields soon to be planted,
We give you praise for an even greater sign of new life: the resurrection of your Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ, that we especially celebrate currently.
The sadness and despair of his death has given way to the bright promise of immortality.
The bright promise that, indeed, draws us away from the abyss that stares back into us, and yields unto us the character and strength to climb beyond the roots of our souls that draw us to Hell; but, instead, such strength and promise of the Resurrection takes us to the branches of the Tree of Life into Our Final Heaven – the Home of our Father to where we seek to return. For the Resurrection is our guarantee that justice will triumph over treason, Light will overcome darkness, and love will conquer death. As we celebrate, we also dare to ask for your grace that we may live the promise given to us, By imitating the life of Jesus in reaching out to the poor, the marginalized, the least among us, As we strive to be neighbor to all those we meet, to remember those forgotten, to bring justice to those wronged, to see those unseen, to come to know those and that unknown, to ask for that which shall be given, and seek that which shall be received. We ask your special blessings every day on our populace – Those of us ill with diseases physical and metaphysical, may you bring…. relief.
Those of us that have been devastated in many myriad scourged ways by the blight of the pandemic and tragedies related, may you bring…. redemption.
Those of us, forgotten by those corrupted souls that have become eminent in power among our populace, but still, we yet contribute and produce grossly for those we love – the World we Love - despite our internal and external exile and ostracization, may you bring…. retribution, measured yet indelible.
And those of us, all of us, past and present, beyond and before, seen and unseen, beginning and end, Alpha, Beta, Tau, and Omega, birth and death, may you bring, finally, revivification, Resurrection, anew….
Working with Him – Our Lord, Jesus Christ - may we strive to make this great country – this great World - of ours a beacon of hope and justice in an Earth hungry for peace and so in need of your love. We praise you in this Easter season. Change our lives, change our hearts to be messengers of Easter joy and hope.
Change our Hearts, that we may yet take our sojourn time, all of us in tow, triumphantly, from Hellish Root to Divine
Branch, to Return to Your Kingdom – the Place we Hope to Return to Find You, O Lord, someday….
We pray.
We make our prayer through Jesus Christ, our risen Lord forever.

Pascua/Temporada de Cuaresma Oración por la Resurrección, 27/03/2023

“Una Oración Pascual” ( (Nueva Adaptación, 27/03/2023) )
Dios bueno y misericordioso,
Nuestro más glorioso Creador,
Al saludar las señales en la naturaleza que nos rodea:
de la primavera que nos regala una vez más en flor,
En los cantos de los pájaros que regresan y de los campos que pronto serán sembrados,
Te alabamos por un signo aún mayor de vida nueva: la resurrección de tu Hijo,
Nuestro Señor Jesucristo, que celebramos especialmente en estos días.
La tristeza y desesperación de su muerte ha dado paso a la brillante promesa de la inmortalidad.
La brillante promesa que, de hecho, nos aleja del abismo que nos mira fijamente y nos da el carácter y la fuerza para escalar más allá de las raíces de nuestras almas que nos llevan al Infierno; pero, en cambio, tal fuerza y promesa de la Resurrección nos lleva a las ramas del Árbol de la Vida a Nuestro Cielo Final, el Hogar de nuestro Padre al que buscamos regresar. Porque la Resurrección es nuestra garantía de que la justicia triunfará sobre la traición, la Luz vencerá a las tinieblas y el amor vencerá a la muerte. Mientras celebramos, también nos atrevemos a pedir tu gracia para que podamos vivir la promesa que se nos ha dado, imitando la vida de Jesús al llegar a los pobres, a los marginados, a los más pequeños entre nosotros, mientras nos esforzamos por ser prójimos de todos los que encontramos, para recordar a los olvidados, para hacer justicia a los agraviados, para ver a los invisibles, para llegar a conocer a los desconocidos, a pedir lo que se dará y a buscar lo que se recibirá. Pedimos sus bendiciones especiales todos los días para nuestra población: aquellos de nosotros que padecemos enfermedades físicas y metafísicas, que nos traiga... alivio.
Aquellos de nosotros que hemos sido devastados de muchas formas flageladas por la plaga de la pandemia y las tragedias relacionadas, que traigan... redención.
Aquellos de nosotros, olvidados por esas almas corruptas que se han vuelto eminentes en poder entre nuestra población, pero aún así contribuimos y producimos groseramente para aquellos que amamos, el mundo que amamos, a pesar de nuestro exilio y ostracismo interno y externo, que traigas …. retribución, mesurada pero indeleble.
Y aquellos de nosotros, todos nosotros, pasado y presente, más allá y antes, visto y no visto, principio y fin, Alfa, Beta, Tau y Omega, nacimiento y muerte, que traigas, finalmente, revivificación, Resurrección, de nuevo... .
Trabajando con Él - Nuestro Señor Jesucristo - que podamos esforzarnos por hacer de este gran país - este gran Mundo - nuestro un faro de esperanza y justicia en una Tierra hambrienta de paz y tan necesitada de vuestro amor. Te alabamos en este tiempo de Pascua. Cambia nuestras vidas, cambia nuestros corazones para que sean mensajeros de la alegría y la esperanza pascuales.
Cambia nuestros Corazones, para que aún podamos tomar nuestro tiempo de permanencia, todos nosotros a cuestas, triunfalmente, de la Raíz Infernal a la Divina.
Renuevo, para Regresar a Tu Reino – el Lugar que Esperamos Regresar para Encontrarte, Oh Señor, algún día….
Oramos.
Hacemos nuestra oración por Jesucristo, nuestro Señor resucitado para siempre.
