I had the privilege to hear the testimony of Louise Carson regarding the journey she has had with her family. I felt like I was a witness to someone’s summary of their life and in that testimony, I was privy to some very raw and private sufferings. What I took away from this experience was the fact that she learned how to lean on her faith and her love of God and truly surrender her own understanding and let God be God.

She also allowed her faith to help her believe that no matter what, God would get her through it and that even though He had to allow it first, He would never leave her nor forsake her.

I asked her whether she would allow me to share her “Mourning Prayer” with Blessed Keys and she graciously agreed, I am honored to share this beautiful tribute in memory of her beloved grandson, Brandon James McLane who died in a tragic construction accident where he worked at the age of 21.

MOURNING PRAYER

Oh God, I come before you, seeking your face.

racked with pain, emotions spent,

no energy, drained of tears.

My arms hanging limp beside me.

Where are you? Where are you?

I look around I cannot see you.

Have you left me here alone to suffer in my

grief and sadness?

Then a whisper in my ear –

“I am here, I will never leave you”

The awareness comes; you are here - with your arms

wrapped around my body, my numb body,

supporting me, giving me your strength.

Your arms enfold me in your love, even though I am too

battle-worn to feel them.

Your words “I am here” give me courage to look ahead with

hope.

That even though I can not lift my feet yet to move ahead

I can just ‘be’ for now, still in pain, but not alone.

so close I cannot see you, but your whisper reassures me.

“I am here, I will never leave you”

Tuve el privilegio de escuchar el testimonio de Louise Carson sobre el viaje que ha tenido con su familia. Me sentí como si fuera testigo del resumen de la vida de alguien y en ese testimonio, estaba al tanto de algunos sufrimientos muy crudos y privados. Lo que me quedé con esta experiencia fue el hecho de que ella aprendió cómo apoyarse en su fe y su amor por Dios y realmente entregar su propio entendimiento y dejar que Dios sea Dios.

También permitió que su fe la ayudara a creer que, sin importar qué, Dios la ayudaría a superarlo y que, aunque primero tenía que permitirlo, nunca la dejaría ni la abandonaría.

Le pregunté si me permitiría compartir su "Oración de luto" con Blessed Keys y ella amablemente accedió. Me siento honrado de compartir este hermoso tributo en memoria de su amado nieto, Brandon James McLane, quien murió en un trágico accidente de construcción donde trabajaba a los 21 años.

Oh Dios, vengo ante ti, buscando tu rostro.

"Thanksgiving to God"

Heavenly Father, I come before Your presence with a thankful heart. God I give You praise for being my Father who sees, watches over, provides for, and protects me.

There are no words to express how deeply grateful I am to be Your daughter. I am able to come to you in Christ's name anytime, anywhere, and whatever the reason. You are there welcoming my prayers.

I pray that my heavenly family will continue to give You praise and worship always for the love and grace that You bestow upon us. In Christ Jesus Name, Amen.

"Thanksgiving to God"

Heavenly Father, I give you all the glory, honor and praise. I am grateful to you for who you are and all you do. I am in awe of who you are and I reverently worship you.

Father, I lift up every person reading this that might be facing a giant. I ask that you help each overcome what is hindering them from getting closer to you. The word tells us, that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can tell that mountain to move and it shall be removed. So, I pray that each exercises their faith and tells those mountains to move. Draw them close to you and give them a heart of worship and thanksgiving.

Father, I thank and praise you. I lay this prayer at your feet. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray.

"Acción de gracias a Dios"

Padre celestial, te doy toda la gloria, el honor y la alabanza. Te agradezco por lo que eres y todo lo que haces. Estoy asombrado de quién eres y te adoro con reverencia.

Padre, elevo a cada persona que lee esto que podría estar enfrentando un gigante. Les pido que ayuden a cada uno a superar lo que les impide acercarse a ustedes. La palabra nos dice que si tenemos fe del tamaño de una semilla de mostaza, podemos decirle a esa montaña que se mueva y será removida. Entonces, oro para que cada uno ejerza su fe y le diga a esas montañas que se muevan. Acércalos a ti y dales un corazón de adoración y acción de gracias.

Padre, te agradezco y te alabo. Pongo esta oración a tus pies. En el nombre poderoso de Jesús oro.
